Oh, how we've been missing mountains and everything they offer! Last Saturday we drove a few hours to "the Grand Canyon of Texas" to picnic and hike. While it was a very nice break from the flatness of Lubbock, I'd imagine Palo Duro canyon is even prettier during non-winter months.
We quite enjoyed being outside and exploring this part of Texas we've heard about.

Afterwards, we ate delicious mexican food in Amarillo, and then ate candy and sang all the 2 hours home. Feeling very thankful for Saturdays!
